Talking Ocean and Climate Change

The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has produced a Zoom discussion titled Talking Oceans and Climate Change which addresses the threats and challenges posed by climate change, and our collective responsibility to act as guardians of oceans, and the life and livelihoods they sustain.

Hosted by Mairead Dundas (Environment Editor at the international news channel France 24), Talking Oceans and Climate Change features Manuel Barange, Director of the Fisheries Division at FAO; Fiona Harvey, award-winning environment journalist of The Guardian newspaper; Dr Flower Ezekiel Msuya, aquaculture expert from Tanzania; Céline Cousteau, environmentalist and documentary producer, and Marc Murphy, a New York-based chef, cookbook writer and activist (read more about those taking part here).

Talking Oceans and Climate Change is released on the last day of the 34th session of the FAO Committee on Fisheries (COFI34). The Committee is a global forum where countries meet to debate issues and challenges related to fisheries and aquaculture.
