The psychology of inequality shows that the richer or poor someone thinks they are affects their views on policy affecting economic inequality.

This thought process makes them think that however disagrees with them is bias or incompetent. Thus the notion how you feel or are passive in terms of economic or financial wealth affects more than your economic stand point, it affects for example how policy is handled and how politics is swayed.
