Poverty and environmental linkage is one of the big initiative to be adhered, this is because poverty and environment has got two way trafficing relationship.

The encrease in poverty cause environmemental destriction since people engage themselves in activities like charcoal burning which at all affects environment

Environmental destruction cause poverty since natural resources like soil, mines just to mention a few are deteriarated

According to Charaschandra Lele, 1991 environmental degradation is the main cause of poverty therefore if some one wants to know the cause of poverty in his/ her locality must first assess the level of environmental degradation.
