Why we need more trees in our cities??

SDG 3 SDG 11 SDG 15

By 2050, it’s estimated that over 65% of the world will be living in cities. We may think of nature as being unconnected to our urban spaces, but trees have always been an essential part of successful cities. Humanity has been uncovering these arboreal benefits since the creation of our first cities thousands of years ago, (TED findings). So what makes trees so important to a city’s survival?

Within the place I came from, Kilimanjaro Tanzania, the trees played a great role in minimizing temperature rise and greenhouse effect. And always we are trying to plant more and more trees in our cities open spaces and on 1st of April 2021 is the National trees planting day. The most targeted areas are cities.
