Climate change and the global west

#GLOBALWARMING
SDG 13

Despite the global west being one of the heaviest pollutants of the environment with the green house emissions the ones facing the heavy repercussions are those in less pollutant areas such as Africa and small island villages around Asia.

An example of such consequences is the growing of the sahara desert. Dutring different seasons in the year the desert expands and retracts, this however is not the case in recent times as the desert is expanding more than it is contracting hence gobbling up formerly fertile areas as it expands.

The world as a whole needs to take climate change seriously especially the global north as without swift measures climate change will win.
