Bringing healthcare to Kenya's remote areas

For isolated island communities on Kenya's northern coast, access to health care is far from adequate. The "Safari Doctors" have taken matters into their own hands. This report accompanies a group of doctors to the Kenyan island Lamu. Their mission is to provide free medical care to some of the extremely marginalized communities. The project is the brainchild of Lamu resident, 34-year-old Umra Omar. Together with a nurse, she set the ball rolling in 2015.
