How plastics affects more that half of the Sustainable Development Goals.

#noplastic #endplasticpollution
SDG 1 SDG 2 SDG 6 SDG 8 SDG 11 SDG 12 SDG 13 SDG 14 SDG 15 SDG 17

If we look just at the mere effect of plastics in our ecosystem we notice that plastics have a major role in affecting the Sustainable Goals Development that we are trying so hard to achieve;
1.Nopoverty- its hard to achieve this in relation to most of the SDG 8 , without it its hard to eradicate poverty without economic growth.
2. Zero hunger- its hard to achieve this with the fact plastics in our rivers and oceans are killing living things thus affecting communities around water bodies. They depend on water for their food and economic growth.
6.Water sanitation-plastics deposited into water bodies are used ones there not clean hygienically and also the poles formed are prone to catching dirt when there are sandstorms from everything around the water bodies.
8.Economic growth-Those living around water bodies cannot fish anymore and their economic growth is slowed as they have to find new means to sustain them.
11.Cities- Cities forgot what it felt like to be clean since there seems to a pile of dirt containing 90% plastic.
12. Responsible consumption-Humans forgot how to responsible in terms of consumption, no recycling or reuse of plastics and our companies are there to provide all the plastics we need. Production is high thus consumption is high which is just irresponsible of us humans.
13.Climate- Without even much discussion we've seen how much plastics are affecting the environment and causing climate anxiety.
14. Ocean- Our oceans are filled with plastics that some people confuse the plastic bags for icebergs. Some piles even cause small boats to capsize leading to damages and sometimes death.
15. Biodiversity- our biodiversity is almost dead due to how much plastics are killing living things in our water bodies.
17.Partnerships- Its hard to form partnerships with people because each is trying to protect their own and there we become selfish.

Unless we find a solution or alternative to plastic, it will still continue to be a menace to us.
