Are we willing to pay the price? - Planet Saving Technology.

ICT is the most powerful new tool we have for solving the
world’s major challenges, ending poverty and hunger, ensuring universal access to basic services, and making the
transition to a low-carbon economy. However there is fear and governments are trying to protect own interests by not shifting towards technology solutions in expense of the planet. We recognize that there is climate emergency but we are not willing to pay the price. We are facing more competition than collaboration.

Roughly 80% of global energy consumption comes from burning fossil fuels. As the impact of climate change on environment becomes increasingly drastic, there is a growing sense of urgency to develop scalable renewable energy solutions. There have been notable steps in the transition towards production of clean renewable energy i.e. harnessing energy from waves and development of new materials to trap heat. Below are some of the ways that technology is being used and if deployed globally by businesses will immensely contribute towards saving the environment and tackling climate change;

1. Managing carbon emissions - In the digital age, enterprises rely on technological solutions to track and manage CO2 and other greenhouse gas emissions across the entire value chain, from sourcing materials through manufacturing to final distribution.
2. Transitioning to a circular economy and reducing waste - Product designers and engineers are creating new approaches for product modularity, repairability, reclamation and packaging in order to reduce waste and keep materials in use longer.
3. Recyclers are beginning to use geospatial technology, data science and real-time analytics to improve resource recovery and re-use.
4. Smart grids - Smart grids will enable local production of energy down to the household level, which can be fed back into the grid upstream.

For every dollar we invest in clean energy we create three times more jobs than when we invest in the traditional energy sources. We need to invest more money in planet saving technology as this will help us produce more energy with less emissions and it has proven to be a more profitable venture too for businesses. We need to advocate for our governments to support the technologies too across the globe.

Let's move together into a sustainable future!

-1.6 Billion people worldwide have no access to electricity.
- Electricity is a prerequisite for development.
- Democratize funds.
