Many African cities have enormous biodiversity. Cape Town particularly has a significant amount of biodiversity, implying the relevance of keeping the city sustainable and resilient.
The city of Cape Town Isisexo Sasekapa Stad Kaapsad project upon implementation has had tremendous significant impacts not exclusive of securing about 65.21% of the bio-net, securing and managing protected areas, protected area management, ecosystem restoration, and catchment management among other ecosystem benefits. These have not been exclusive of socio-economic benefits; job creation, skills development, tourism, recreation, environmental education and community involvement among others.
