Climate change, whether accepted as factual or political agenda, is a rising threat among

#climatechangeafrica

As of 2012 alone, scientists had observed that the world temperatures had risen by 0.85 degrees. This increase in temperature resulted to the rise in sea levels by 19cm if not mitigated, these numbers could rise by double. In as much as the whole world shall undoubtedly feel the effects of climate change, poverty stricken countries will have to bear the burden of yet another problem. Many in Africa are already victims to climate change being forced to seek refuge in other countries as a result of prolonged drought seasons that have led to an increase in food insecurity forcing families to migrate to other countries in search of this basic need. we must therefore strive as nations to secure not only the future of those who come after us, but also the present of those most vulnerable among us.
