Stimulus packages not aligned to nature restoration?
With the pandemic at hand, many governments are responding with fiscal stimulus packages. Most of these are targeted on economic recovery which is a focus on investments. Most of the investments will stimulate the economy but do little to address the major problem at hand, climate change.
Our health is tied to our relationship with the nature, we keep saying that, but our actions do little to show that we understand this and indeed take it seriously. The distribution of the stimulus packages reflects the lack of seriousness in aligning our actions with the fight to restore nature and the environment.
We need to understand that there is a great urgency in addressing the climate change as much as there is in focusing on economic recovery and act rightfully.
