Hope for Africa's Children and Generations to come.

SDG 3

For a long time the sub Saharan Africa has had to struggle with Malaria disease because of several factors including the fact that Africa's weather conditions support of the Malaria parasite's growth. This especially comes as a big menace to pregnant women in the rural areas who are stricken by poverty and cannot afford decent mosquito net or insecticides to protect them against Mosquitoes.
This is a problem to us as Africans especially kids since its estimated that every 2 minutes a kid dies from malaria or malaria caused reasons. Most country's have been trying their best o fight the Malaria Menace in their own little ways like in Kenya we have a program where new mothers are given free mosquito nets but with the limited resources, lack of hospital in rural areas, ignorance or lack of knowledge on the importance of prevention of malaria.
With the new invention of the malaria vaccine gives hope to many Africans knowing that we don't have to loose our kids and a % of the next generation to malaria. If the vaccine can be incorporated into immunization routines that we have in the immunization of children when they are young and could greatly improve our health sector.
"The long-awaited malaria vaccine for children is a breakthrough for science, child health and malaria control,” said WHO Director-General Dr Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus. “Using this vaccine on top of existing tools to prevent malaria could save tens of thousands of young lives each year.”
If the Ministry of health were to run for this and incorporate it with existing tools it would yield maximum results towards eradication of malaria and Malaria deaths.
