Understanding SDG 1 (No poverty)

#POVERTY #INEQUALITY
SDG 1 SDG 10

The first SDG is No poverty, it is also the SDG that is the hardest to tackle. There can be many different causes of poverty such as disease, illness, inequality, war, famine just but to mention a few.

In the world we live in today many people live below the poverty line, meaning they survive on less than two dollars a day. Situations like these means choosing between having a meal or getting medicine and can also lead to diseases and homelessness which in turn leads to greater chances of lack of access to amenities because of lack of a physical address.

Although the number of people living under the poverty line has decreased from the early nineties we are still a way behind in curbing the poverty epidemic in the world.
