SDG 2 SDG 13

Drought is a prolonged dry period in the natural climate cycle that can occur anywhere in the
world. It is a slow-onset disaster characterized by the lack of precipitation, resulting in a water
shortage
Drought is the result of climate change. Drought can have a serious impact on health, agriculture, economies, energy and the
environment especially in developing countries
human activities such as deforestation lead to high levels of drought
Drought is harmful to our lives as it causes famine and famine in northern Kenya (Turkana) also affects the environment as it leads to desertification.

to prevent the effects of drought it is advisable to stop human activities such as deforestation as well as to encourage the planting of trees and the use of renewable energy without forgetting to make sustainable agriculture such as agro-forestry.
