Cost of climate change.

SDG 2 SDG 13

Extreme weather and climate changes have the new order of the day. Nobody can exactly tell how the seasons will align themselves.
Farmers no longer know when is the best time to plant since the rains dont come in a pattern they are used to and we are thw verge of facing hunger as a country.
Poor implementation of policies on drainage systems to be set especially in areas that experience heavy rains. This leads to a lot if funds used yearly to help those affected by the rains while we could save a lot more if there were better drainage systems and better water storage systems.
This way, no funds would be used on those affected by floods instead it could be channeled towards other environmental impacts and the people would benefit from better storage systems by knowing they will not run short of water and high sanitation can be maintained.
This is one of the major problems faced due to poor implementation of policies
If only we could implement the policies set aside from climate action now, we could reduce not only the funding but also the impact the environment will have on us as a country.
If we wait for 2030 to start acting upon climate change then we might not be able either mitigate it nor recover from the impact.

All this just requires to START. Like action asap, cause if we keep on waiting then we are doomed!
