Reafforistation by using seedballs.

Kenya’s forest cover is below 10% but efforts are being steered to reach that mark.

But by the pace at which tree planting takes place, perhaps it will take years to reach that.

To solve this, Teddy Kinyanjui founded Seedballs Kenya in a bid to fight deforestation in the country.

So how does seedballs technology work?

They get seed from kenya forest research institute (KEFRI). Then spray them by airplane.

Seeds are protected in soft coated balls capable of making them geminating, the soft coat reduces level of seed breaking up while fall down from air.
