UNEMG Part 2 Nexus Dialogue: Significances of financing Nature and Biodiversity.

#unemg #financingnature
SDG 8 SDG 15

Financing Nature is the practice of raising and managing capital and using financial incentives to support sustainable biodiversity management. It includes private and public financial resources used to conserve biodiversity, investments in commercial activities that produce positive biodiversity outcomes and the value of the transactions in biodiversity-related markets such as habitat banking, (UNDP).

Nexus Dialogue panelists give a brief description significant about how important if we finance nature. One among them was tourism.

Tourism includes travel from one place to another. Tourism boost the country's GNP and foreign earnings. We recommended to finance on nature first since tourism sector is the most vulnerable sector since ever covid-19 broke out.
