Water Pollution Solutions

SDG 6 SDG 14 SDG 15

More than 70% of earth is covered with water. Water pollution is among the global environmental issues that need to be tackled thoroughly. It can be defined as contamination of a water body reducing the quality of water but increasing toxins. Water pollution is mainly caused by anthropogenic activities like sewage, agriculture, industrialization and urbanization.
As humans, we have a duty of ensuring our water is clean and safe for both human and non human consumption.
If taken seriously, there are effective and efficient solutions to water pollution such as installation of septic tanks instead of sewer lines, green agriculture, plastic waste management, recycling of waste water and storm water management.
