SDG 6 SDG 13 SDG 14 SDG 15 SDG 17

Marine pollution occurs when harmful effects result from the entry into the ocean of chemicals, particles, industrial, agricultural and residential waste, noise, or the spread of invasive organisms. Eighty percent of marine pollution comes from land. Air pollution is also a contributing factor by carrying off iron, carbonic acid, nitrogen, silicon, sulfur, pesticides or dust particles into the ocean Liss, P. (2009).

In Tanzania the government has taken the major towards restricting the use of the plastics bags as the major towards the control of the solid wastes, again some companies make the recycling of the wastes and the proper planning of the dumping sites.
