The heart of the Congo basin is blanketed by an intricate forest system commonly known as the equatorial rainforest. There trees reach heights of 130 to 160 feet (40 to 50 metres), and numerous varieties and species of plants proliferate. Grasslands and woodlands are characteristic of the tropical climate zone, while stands of mangrove dominate the coastal swamps and the mouth of the Congo. The eastern plateaus are covered by grasslands, and mountain forest, bamboo thickets, and Afro-Alpine vegetation occur on the highest mountains.Animal life is also rich and diverse. Chimpanzees,Gorillas and Elephants and various species of monkeys and baboons are found at Congo Forest.

We needed to protect and preserve our forests for the survival of organisms like chimpanzee, gorilla and other organism that need forest especially human being. Forest are important on environmental conservation and prevent climatic changes so at any areas of the world we must prevent and conserve our local forests for benefits of our life and future generations on our Earth.
