Today is world water day
World water day is held in every 22 March each year
This aimed at addressing the challenges that are facing the world's population over accesbility of clean and safe water and opportunity toward the accesbility of clean and safe water
It is a nacked truth that our life is totally depending on availability of water, without water there would no life on earth..
Our planet earth is only planet in our solar system to be blessed with water that help to support life in 99% I can say,.. It is estimated that about 70% of earth is covered by water including salt water such as ocean and sea and fresh water such as lakes and rivers
But what is wonderful is that,.. apart from that amount of water which cover almost 70% area of the earth but many people in the world are still suffering from accessibility of clean and safe water
According to UNDP it is estimated that up to 2015 about 5.1 billion people in the world which is 71% have access to clean and safe water while at the same time 884 have totally lost access of even the drinking water and the number is increasing as population grow more...
In LDC such as sub saharan countries like somalia and sudan people are suffering more from waterborne diseases due to to the lack ofclean and safe water which contributed much by bad climate of the countries, while people in other countries continue to drink unsafe water due to poor sanitation and pollution caused by human being which in turn lead to the eruption of communicable diseases such as cholera.
The message of the day,
We are supposed to make sure we protect the water sources as well as maintaining their availability through plating large number of trees around the source and prohibiting any activities that harm the water sources while to combat the change of climate (Haridi 2021)
