WAS IT IGNORANCE OR PERSONAL BELIEFS?

#RESTINPEACE #JOHNMAGUFULI
SDG 3

"It is with a heavy heart that we announce the death of President John Pombe Magufuli" translated in English, these were the words of former vice precident and now current President of the Republic of Tanzania Her Excellency Honourable Samia Suluhu.
There has been alot of rumours and speculations over the death of the now late Sir John Magufuli.
It is with no doubt that he did not acknowledge the seriousness of the COVID-19 pandemic since last year and made sure that it was business as usual. He always kept God first which is an admirable quality in a leader but pushed aside the possibility of his country contracting the disease and losing a number of lives.
I believe in God too, but God helps those who help themselves.

He was an honourable leader with his shortcomings. I appreciate the fact that he looked over the economy of his country to eradicate poverty, he also condemned corruption and acted on it heavily. The fact that he chose a woman as his running mate and made it possible for her to be vice president clearly shows that he valued gender equality and equal representation in leadership.
LEGENDS DON'T DIE, THEY JUST REST AFTER HARD WORK.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
