Community participation and involvement in the management and conservation

#Leavenoonebehind #GreenWarrior #Community #PartnershipForTheGoals
SDG 1 SDG 2 SDG 17

Conservation is the care and protection of natural resources so that they can persist for future generations.Conservation seeks the sustainable use of nature by humans, for activities such as hunting, logging, or mining, while preservation means protecting nature from human use.
Conservation is crucial & urgent but we can't talk about it until the people benefit from it directly. We cannot be planting trees and talk about it bringing rains yet the food crops in the community have dried up. Hunger & poverty drives many people to poaching & deforestation to earn food & income directly from the forests for their loved ones. It is therefore crucial for us to meet the goals of the community as we talk about conservation, Let's educate our own communities about planting vegetables that will provide food enough for them and they will sell some, indegeneous trees that will are good for medicinal purposes & repelling pests; as they wait for the long term benefits such as providing rain. It's our role to tackle SDG 13 but we can't achieve it without 1 ,2,3 & 4
We once visited a children's home, after cooking and having fun we planted trees they were so receptive about the idea not because it's exciting to plant trees but they did it after seeing a direct benefit of the foundation visiting them.
Let's partner for the goals and clearly there is a reason why the UN gave the SDGs in that order

Protecting wildlife and preserving it for future generations also means that the animals we love don't become a distant memory. And we can maintain a healthy and functional ecosystem.
