SDG 13 SDG 14 SDG 15

There are many ways in which humans impact the environment. our natural habitat planet earth has been seriously and, in many cases, irreparably damaged by our own actions.

Below are ways in how mankind has slowly injured the environment;

1. Pollution - Pollution is so bad that to date, 2.4 billion people do not have access to clean water sources. Humanity is continuously polluting indispensable resources like air, water, and soil which requires millions of years to replenish.
2. Water pollution - There are 5.25 trillion pieces of plastic debris in the ocean. Not only is garbage introduced into the oceans, but also the excessive amounts of fertilizer that finds its way into the ocean through rains, floods, winds, or dumped in excess right into the largest producer of the oxygen we have.
3. Overfishing - Overfished stocks globally have tripled in half a century and today fully one-third of the world's assessed fisheries are currently pushed beyond their biological limits, says the WWF.
4. Global warming - Burning of fossil fuels and deforestation contributes to a rise in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, as there are fewer trees to soak it up.

We need to look whether what has been broken can ever be fixed and act now!
